Getting to the Port from Napoli Centrale

Getting from Napoli Centrale train station to the Naples ferry ports, Molo Beverello or Calata Porta di Massa, is quick and easy. The distance is approximately 3 km. The easiest options are taxi, Metro Line 1, or the Alibus.

1. Taxi β€” Easiest

Official white taxis are available right outside the train station. Ask the driver for the pre-fixed fare, called tariffa predeterminata, to the port before you get in. Pricing is generally around €13–€16, though guests should confirm the fare with the driver before departing.

Approximately 10–15 minutes.

2. Metro Line 1 β€” Budget-Friendly

From Napoli Centrale, head downstairs to Garibaldi Metro Station. Take Metro Line 1 toward Piscinola for 3 stops and get off at Municipio. From there, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the ferry docks.

Tickets are usually around €1.30–€1.50 and can be purchased at station machines.

Approximately 5 minutes by metro plus a 5-minute walk.

3. Alibus β€” Simple Shuttle Option

The Alibus stops outside Napoli Centrale and also serves the port area. Tickets are generally around €5 and can usually be purchased on board or at authorized sellers.

Approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
